Data Referral Program

Working with local housing associations and other local community organisations we are able to give FREE access to data to local Liverpool residents

What is the project

We are working with Good Things Foundation and the National Databank we are trying to get everyone digitally included. 2.5 million households struggle to afford the internet in the UK, and 1 in 14 households have no home internet access at all. This often affects vulnerable people who are already experiencing multiple inequalities.

"Like a foodbank but for mobile data, the National Databank provides free mobile SIM cards to help digitally excluded people get connected."

The project will initially run for 6 months from August 2024.

Who can sign up for this project?

While we are focusing on local housing associations, any organisation that supports people who are in need of data is welcome to join. If you are an individual, please check with your housing association to see if they are part of the scheme.

How to refer people

Once your company is registered with us, we will send you the link to a simple 4 question online form to refer your clients. The form must be completed by a member of your team using a work email address. You will receive a confirmation email once the form has been submitted and you can send your client to the centre to pick up their data. Data must be picked up by the individual referred and they must bring their phone with them.

What do people receive?

Either:

Vodaphone sim card with 40GB data per month for 6 months

O2 sim card with 25GB data per month for 6 months

O2 top up voucher 25 GB data per month for 6 months for those who are currently on an O2 PAYG sim

Three sim card with 24GB data only. Valid for 6 months.
